About Mrs. Wolf

It seems as if everyone has heard of "Bev"...because she has played piano and organ music at almost every venue within 150 miles of Danville, plus a few places in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Panama City Beach Florida. She's played for nine years on the "Spirit of Peoria" paddle-wheeler going from Peoria to Starved Rock State Park to Cincinnati and St. Louis, all the way to St. Paul.

Her repertoire includes classical, country, blue grass, western, all of which compliment her expertise and love for rag-time.

She placed in the top eight contestants in a National Old-Time Piano playing contest with top-notch musicians from many countries world-wide. Her playing exploits have produced many articles citing her for the professional entertainment she provides at every performance. These venues range from nursing homes to country clubs, American Legion clubs, Elk Lodges, churches, hotel bars, colleges, dance clubs, and restaurants (like the Beef House).

Most recently (June 2014) she and her Dixieland Band performed for the Spirit of Peoria which proved to be a great success. Ms. Wolf has been entertaining for over 60 years and has shared the stage with many "big names" to include the Ray Price Orchestra and has been filmed for PBS as part of a documentary on the Spirit of Peoria. Mrs. Wolf and her band also played for Donald O'Connor and Ronald Reagan before he became president.

She teaches more than 30 students presently. Bev's mother once remarked "she will always be tickling the ivories until she passes on and is buried in a large piano bench -- she's been at the keyboard ever since her diaper stuck to the piano stool when she was a baby."
